Rangers want James Wilson but Manchester United are now looking to hijack their move for the Heart of Midlothian teenager.
The Gers would no doubt love to keep recruitment for their developmental ranks.
Just look down the B Team and Academy ranks; Aaron Cervantes, Johnly Yfeko, Charlie Lindsay, Kevin Ciubotaru, Zak Lovelace, Archi Stevens, Bailey Rice, Lancelot Pollard… the list of young signings in recent times just goes on and on.
The hope is that Rangers will eventually produce a number of first-team players and whilst that hasn’t happened just yet, they could go for more young talent.

Rangers want James Wilson
The Gers have already found their next target for their academy ranks.
The Daily Record report that Rangers have launched a move for Heart of Midlothian teenager James Wilson.
It’s stated that Rangers have written to Hearts to inform them of their plans to speak to Wilson about a deal.
Hearts have allegedly given Rangers permission to speak to Wilson but retain hope of keeping him at Tynecastle.
The 15-year-old attacker was named as the Hearts Academy Player of the Season back in May and there are high hopes for him.
Rangers will have been hoping to get a deal done soon but their plans have now been somewhat complicated.
The Glasgow Times report that Manchester United are looking to hijack Rangers and their move for Wilson.
United are allegedly leading the race for Wilson now having placed a keen emphasis on increasing their scouting reach in Scotland.
The Red Devils may now hope to swoop in with a deal for Wilson and a deal worth around £120,000 in compensation could be on the cards.
United are also thought to be keen on current Rangers teenager Jack Wylie, teeing up the prospect of a double deal for Scottish talents.
Missing out on Wilson would be bad enough for Rangers but then seeing Wylie head to Old Trafford too would be a nightmare – and the Gers will be pulling out all the stops to make sure that doesn’t happen.
