Rangers icons Ally McCoist and Graeme Souness will be part of ITV’s coverage of Euro 2020 after the broadcaster confirmed their on-screen talent for this summer’s finals – with Rangers TV’s Clive Tyldesley making a return behind the mic.
McCoist, Rangers’ all-time greatest goalscorer, has been a near-constant feature on commentary for various platforms over the last year and joins a star-studded list of names covering the finals.
Souness, meanwhile will be part of the punditry team and will be joined by some massive names who have a wealth of experience at the top level for both club and country.
Joining Souness as part of the punditry team at Euro 2020 for ITV will be Ian Wright, Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole, Eni Aluko, Robert Earnshaw, Emma Hayes, Nigel de Jong, John Collins, Joe Ledley, Nadia Nadim, Scott Brown and Andros Townsend while McCoist will be joined as a co-commentator by Lee Dixon and John Hartson.
The coverage will be anchored by Mark Pougatch, Seema Jaswal and Reshmin Chowdhury as Tyldesley is joined as lead commentator by Sam Matterface, Joe Speight, Seb Hutchinson and Tom Gayle.
While McCoist won’t get to renew his fantastic partnership with Jon Champion that saw the pairs travel tips during the World Cup in Russia three years ago win them a legion of new fans.
With Scotland and England set to go head to head at Euro 2020, ITV need to make sure they do the right thing and have McCoist in the co-commentator’s chair rather than Lee Dixon or John Hartson – viewers around the UK will thank them for it.
