Rangers legend Ian Durrant thinks Hibs star Kevin Nisbet is the natural goalscorer Scotland have been “crying out for” and thinks the striker his hit form at the right time ahead of Euro 2020.
Nisbet hit the net 19 times in all competitions for Hibs last season and bagged his first at international level in the pre-tournament draw with the Netherlands.
Durrant worked with Nisbet when he was a youngster and the Ibrox icon could see back then that he had the tools to reach the top.
With Scotland preparing for their first game at a major tournament since 1998 when they face the Czech Republic, Durrant has backed Nisbet to impress in the dark blue of Scotland at Euro 2020.
“I was fortunate enough to work with Kevin Nesbit at a young age when I was at Dumbarton,” Durrant told the Daily Record.
“We got him on loan from Partick Thistle. He was still a raw young boy at the time, but you could see the quality he had in terms of finishing even back then.
“He went away to Dunfermline after that after the disappointing of leaving Partick, but he’s reinvented himself.
“He’s gone to Hibs and had an absolutely superb season in terms of scoring goals. This is what Scotland have been crying out for for years – a natural goalscorer.
“Nesbit seems to have hit a rich vein of form at the right time, and he’s a good goalscorer.”

Can Nisbet impress at Euro 2020?
Nisbet faces competition for a start from the likes of Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams but his impressive form for the Easter Road side will have him full of confidence.
Grabbing his first goal at international level will have further boosted his confidence as he prepares for his first appearance a a major tournament.
With a number of clubs watching his progress, the Hibs striker could win himself a massive move off the back of an impressive run of games at Euro 2020.
Much more importantly – for Scotland fans at least – he could help fire the Tartan Army beyond the group stage for the first time ever.
