Rangers are reported to be planning to bring Steven Davis back to Ibrox.

Now in a potential boost to Rangers’ interest, Davis has been given one less reason to stick around at Southampton.
Davis has been overlooked in the Premier League this season by Mark Hughes – playing only six minutes, back in September.
His only real action has come in the Carabao Cup, where he played in all three of their games including last night’s quarter-final.
Southampton lost on penalties, and Davis was left feeling particularly aggrieved after an extra-time ‘winner’ was controversially chalked off by VAR.
If Southampton had reached the semi-finals, he might have been more inclined to stick around at Southampton beyond January.

Davis would have been just one two-legged tie away from Wembley and one more chance to win a trophy.
Now his best opportunity of winning silverware may be to head to Scotland to join Rangers, who are just two points behind Celtic in the title race.
Trophies aside, Rangers will offer Davis the chance to play regularly, which he is just not getting at Southampton unless there is a big change over the next month – which is possible if Mark Hughes gets fired.
After last night, as it stands, Davis has one less reason to reject Rangers’ advances.
