Rangers fans were a little bit worried last week when Ryan Kent was nowhere to be seen as Steven Gerrard’s players returned to training – and the £7million winger’s latest Instagram story will be a great relief to fans of the Scottish champions.

As the rest of Gerrard’s squad were put through their paces on the pitch, Kent was indoors working off a small niggle, missing Monday’s win over Partick Thistle as a result.

The former Liverpool man is back with a bang though, sharing a video of him leaving skipper James Tavernier sprawled out on the turf as Kent muscled his way past.

Kent made 52 appearances for Rangers last season, scoring 13 times and chipping in with 15 assists, as Steven Gerrard’s side romped to the Premiership title.

With a trip to Tranmere this weekend as the Gers continue their pre-season fixtures, Kent could make his first appearance of the summer for the Light Blues.

Clashes with Blackpool, Arsenal, Brighton and Real Madrid before the league kicks off at the end of the month mean it will be a busy few weeks for Rangers.

Kent will be a key player for Steven Gerrard’s side this season again as they aim to defend their title and secure progression to the the Champions League group stage.
