Negri watched the first team train along with fellow club legend John Brown after being invited to watch Steven Gerrard’s side first hand.
Negri sent a message to Rangers to congratulate the club on the ‘stunning’ facilities.
Rangers were busy preparing for this evening’s League Cup quarter final away at Livingston.
It is the club’s next step to try and win the first silverware of the season. Last year they fell short at the semi final stage against Aberdeen.
Negri signed for Rangers in 1997 and quickly became a fan favourite, scoring at a prolific rate, before being halted by injury.
Rangers should be proud to hear his comments, as will sponsors Hummels, who will enjoy the endorsement of a former fan favourite about the facilities.
