Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic and Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers renewed hostilities in the Scottish Cup recently, but should they go head-to-head over a player?

If rumours are believed, Celtic are interested in signing Keiren Westwood and Rangers should certainly challenge their Old Firm rivals for his signature.
The Sun reported today that Brendan Rodgers’s side are keen on recruiting the Republic of Ireland international, who has 21 caps for the Boys in Green.
Celtic will have an eye on signing competition for the aging Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries but, as Wes Foderingham has proven this year, he also needs a kick up the you know what at Rangers after a mixed 2018.
The 27-year-old has been a terrific and consistent player for the Gers since arriving in 2015, but he also been culpable for silly errors on a couple of occasions since January and perhaps the Ibrox outfit would be wise to bring in serious competition for him this summer.

Westwood, who has been with Sheffield Wednesday for the past four years, is a proven goalkeeper in the Championship and even at 33 would represent a serious threat to Foderingham’s number one shirt.
Going head-to-head with Celtic over a player and winning won’t be easy, but if Rodgers considers him good enough for the Hoops then surely he’s good enough for the Blues.
