The former Old Firm rival was discussing Mark Warbuton’s Rangers side’s draw at Ibrox last weekend.
Rab Douglas – Celtic dejected
Rangers take on Dundee today in the early kick-off of in the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers go into the game hoping to pick up their first win in the top-tier since their return to the level.
Mark Warburton’s side were held to a 1-1 draw v Hamilton in their first game of the season last week at Ibrox.
Dundee’s Rab Douglas in action
Rangers quickly put that result to bed with a 5-0 cup win over Peterhead in midweek but the Glasgow side will now be expecting to defeat Dundee at Dens Park tomorrow.
But one former Dundee and Celtic goalkeeper believed Rangers have no divine right to win in the Scottish Premiership.
The 44-year-old, who spent five years at Old Firm rivals Celtic, had this to say about Rangers to The Courier this week:
“As for the Ibrox side, they could only draw 1-1 at home to Hamilton Accies.

“A few people seemed surprised by that scoreline but why should Rangers have a divine right to win at home or away?
“I just think the pressure is on them, full stop, if they are hoping to hang on to the coat-tails of Celtic this season.
“Their fans will be looking for their team to go for it against Dundee after that draw against Accies but that could suit the home team.”
Rangers’ Clint Hill
Rangers have been expected to perform well in the top-flight and many still expect them to act as the main title rivals to Celtic this season.
But as Douglas points out, Rangers still need to put in the performances necessary to challenge their great rivals.
Warburton’s men can start proving that today v Dundee.
