Reported Rangers target Kieran Dowell has signed with Sheffield United.

Rangers have just missed out on an absolute gem of a signing, in what appears to be a blow to Steven Gerrard.
Everton prospect Kieran Dowell has joined Sheffield United on loan for the rest of the season, the club confirmed.
Dowell scored 10 goals on loan at Nottingham Forest last season in the Championship, but found his opportunities limited at Everton.
The Daily Record reported earlier this month that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard wanted to land Dowell, and was a long term admirer of the attacking midfielder.
Dowell choosing the Blades is a blow to Rangers because they need a player with his qualities, and ability to score from midfield.
Rangers have just lost Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria, who gave up on his spell at Ibrox.

Dowell is an impressive talent and there were not too many young players available for loan of his calibre, who fill the position Rangers need.
Steven Gerrard should have had a list of alternatives ready for if Dowell chose against a move, but there’s no escaping that this is a disappointment for the Gers.
