Celtic interim manager John Kennedy has admitted that Steven Gerrard’s Rangers have been better than the Hoops, as quoted on BBC Sport.
Rangers have won the Scottish Premiership title this season, ending Celtic’s chances of making it 10 in a row.
The Hoops had won the league title in Scotland for the past nine seasons, and they were expecting to clinch it again this campaign.
However, Celtic failed to keep their momentum and have had a torrid time this campaign.
The Hoops’ goalless draw with Dundee United this afternoon confirmed bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers as the champions.
BBC Sport quotes Kenndy as saying: “Our objective was to get to 10, but Rangers have been better than us this season. We’ve been champions for so long, but we’ve not been good enough this season.”

Rangers better than Celtic
The fact that Rangers are still unbeaten in the league and have won the title in March underlines just how dominant they have been.
Gerrard has been superb for the Gers, and this season, he has taken his team to another level.
Rangers have played better football than Celtic and have been very consistent throughout the season.
During the last two seasons, Rangers had failed to maintain their momentum in the second half of the campaign, but things have been very different this time around.
