Rangers look like being without Ianis Hagi for their vital Champions League qualifiers later this year as the Romanian international gets set to represent his country at this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Gers kick off their return to European football’s elite club competition on August 3/4 but Hagi and his compatriots will be in the Far East at the delayed Games.
Romania have a minimum of three fixtures in Japan facing Honduras, South Korea and then New Zealand from July 22-28.
If Romania make it through the group, they will face one the winners or runner up from Group A on July 31 in the quarter-finals.
Should they continue to the last four, the semis take place on August 3 with the two medal matches taking place August 6/7.
Hagi could also be in action for his country at Euro 2020 this summer so it looks like being a bust spell for the Romanian.
Rangers enter the Champions League at the Third qualifying round with the first leg on August 3/4 and the return a week later.

Hagi has been attracting interest from the likes of Sevilla lately and the Ibrox number 7’s numbers this season show why, with seven goals and 12 assists to his name.
