Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Andy Firth has congratulated reported summer Gers target Harry Wilson on Twitter for his heroics for Bournemouth against Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
The Mirror claimed of interest in Liverpool-owned winger Wilson from Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers in the summer transfer window.
The report stated that Rangers manager and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is a fan of the 22-year-old winger.
Wilson, who spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Derby County in the Championship in England, joined Premier League outfit Bournemouth on loan in the summer transfer window.
The winger played well for the Cherries on Saturday afternoon, as Eddie Howe’s side won 2-1 against Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League.
Wilson scored in the 12th minute of the match and had a good game overall.
According to WhoScored, the Wales international took five shots of which two were on target, had a pass accuracy of 90.5%, took 36 touches, made one clearance, and put it two crosses.
Rangers goalkeeper Firth knows Wilson from his Liverpool days, and he was pleased to see the winger score for Bournemouth against Villa.
