Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has admitted that he just didn’t think Glen Kamara was at his best against St Johnstone.
Rangers beat St Johnstone to continue fine form
Van Bronckhorst is enjoying a great start to life as Rangers boss, and it continued against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
Alfredo Morelos gave Rangers a first-half lead before Ryan Kent added number to secure a 2-0 victory.
Van Bronckhorst still hasn’t lost as Rangers manager. With six wins and a draw from seven games, 14 goals scored and just two conceded, the Dutchman is thriving.
After the sudden exit of Steven Gerrard, this is just about as good as Rangers could have wished.
Van Bronckhorst critical of Rangers star Kamara
You would think that Van Bronckhorst would be buzzing, but he wants to keep standards high at Rangers.
Speaking to the Glasgow Evening Times after Wednesday’s victory, Van Bronckhorst called for more from midfielder Kamara.

One of Rangers’ most influential and important players, Kamara is a mainstay of the Gers side.
Van Bronckhorst noted that Kamara simply gave too many balls away on Wednesday night, believing that isn’t the Finn’s game.
Van Bronckhorst told Kamara that directly, calling for some improvement from the midfielder moving forward.
“I told him that, for me, he lost too many balls today,” said Van Bronckhorst. “That’s not really how I see him. He’s very important because he’s a player who sits just in front of the defence. He wants the ball, he wants to look forward, he’s not afraid when he receives the ball and gets pressured. I think we will have some good build up and eventually we will create some space up front. The players are learning that and improving each game to know which moment needs which kind of play,” he added.
