Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has given an update on Croatian left-back Borna Barisic after he limped out of the 4-1 win over Celtic – and hopes the defender is just sufferng from some fatigue.
Barisic went down with nobody near him and was replaced by Joe Aribo in defence for the final stages of the comfortable win at Ibrox.
Gerrard confirmed Barisic will undergo an MRI to discover the extent of his injury.
“Borna’s got a tight quad at the moment,” Gerrard told Sky Sports.
“His assist for the goal was fantastic, he was up and down. Hopefully it’s just a bit of fatigue but we’ll get it checked with an MRI and fingers crossed it’s okay.
Barisic has been vital for the Gers this season and with Calvin Bassey suspended, a spell of the sidelines couldn’t come at a worse time for the Gers.

In addition to Bassey’ suspension, a ban for Nathan Patterson and injuries to Niko Katic, Leon Balogun and Fil Helander have left Rangers very short in defence for the final weeks of the season.
