Glasgow Rangers have had a mixed start to what will be Pedro Caixinha’s first full season at the helm but there have been some standout performers.

Rangers fans are hoping for big things this campaign, with a whole host of new signings and manager Pedro Caixinha having a full pre-season to work with both the players he inherited and the ones he has deemed good enough to move to Ibrox this summer.
Some of the players have done better than others but here we take a look at arguably Rangers’ five best players to date:
Alfredo Morelos
He may only be 21, but striker Alfredo Morelos is the real deal and he has taken to life at Rangers like a duck to water.
The Colombian forward has scored five goals in just seven appearances for the Gers and he will be hoping that is just the start.

Graham Dorrans
Rangers needed more experience in the heart of midfield and the addition of Graham Dorrans has done just that.
The 30-year-old has been an ever-present since his arrival and the brace he scored against Motherwell on his debut quickly proved his worth.

Bruno Alves
Rangers got rid of one vastly experienced centre-back in Clint Hill and replaced him with another in the form of Bruno Alves.
He may be 35 but the Portugal international still has the talent to keep the vast majority of Scottish strike forces at bay and he has slotted effortlessly into Rangers’ back line.
Daniel Candeias
A potentially controversial inclusion here given his early struggles, Daniel Candeias has got over that to prove his worth with impressive work rate and a fine creative eye.
With one goal and one assist to date, there is still work to do, but he should quickly become a fan favourite at Ibrox.
Ryan Jack
Ryan Jack is the engine room player Rangers need as they bid to challenge for silverware this season. He will not win the awards or the plaudits from neutrals but Gers supporters already understand just how important he is to Caixinha’s plans.
The 25-year-old has made six appearances to date and is only going to get better over the next few years.
