The Rangers defender was speaking after the Ibrox side’s visit to East Fife.

Sadly for the Swedish international, STV have since reported he has since not been included in Steven Gerrard’s named European squad to face the Polish outfit.
Rangers travel abroad on Thursday in UEFA Europa League play-off action before a return leg in Glasgow the following week.
Helander made his competitive debut away to East Fife in the Scottish League Cup, despite joining the club more than a month ago.
His progress has been slow and clearly the Gers boss feels his is not quite as ready as claimed for a stiff European test.
The defender will be disappointed to miss out.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, Helander said on Sunday: “I hope to play every game, especially the big matches we have coming up in Europe and at home.
“The opponents today were maybe not at the same level as the ones to come, but I feel I am ready to play.
“I’ve played against big teams before. It’s always the manager’s decision but am I ready for these games? Absolutely.”
Should Rangers fans be worried about Helander?
Gerrard is likely just taking precautions on the Swede’s fitness, rather than these decisions and his lack of match action being a reflection of the player’s ability.
Rangers also have limited places in their European squad, so if Helander is unlikely to be a starter against Legia Warsaw then it makes sense he might be one of the players to not be included.

The former Bologna man was a big investment for the club this summer and this early caution may pay off big for Gerrard and Rangers over the course of a long season.
With Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic in such fine form, there is simply no rush to include Helander before he is at the peak of his abilities.
