Rangers could renew their interest in Motherwell’s Louis Moult in January after missing out this summer.

Motherwell manged to keep hold of talismanic striker Louis Moult during the summer transfer window but, with his contract expiring next summer, it appears their resolve will be tested once again in January.
The Scottish Sun report that Rangers are ready to renew their interest in the 25-year-old and will hope to land him on a cut price deal – after failing to stump up enough money to convince Motherwell to sell in the summer.
And the move would certainly go down well with Rangers supporters – many of whom took to social media on transfer deadline day to demand the Ibrox giants get a deal for Moult over the line.

After all, the former Stoke City youth has an excellent record in the Scottish Premiership, having scored 15 goals in each of the last two seasons. He’s carried that form into the new campaign with two goals in four appearances already.
With Eduardo Herrera, a left-field and expensive signing from Mexico, struggling to make an impact prior to his first Rangers goal against Ross County last weekend, fans are entitled to wonder why the club did not put all their efforts into signing Moult instead.

However, the phrase ‘better late than never’ comes to mind.
