Cadden’s side will face Rangers in the League Cup semi-finals later this year, and some sections of the Ibrox fanbase would rather he was playing for them.

Rangers fans should already be familiar with Chris Cadden, the Motherwell winger who has assisted two goals in his three visits to Ibrox.
And after seeing him in action as Motherwell swept aside Aberdeen 3-0 on Thursday – to set up a Scottish League Cup semi-final tie against Rangers – some, it seems, would be keen to have him on board in south west Glasgow.
Cadden was causing all sorts of problems for Aberdeen’s Gary Mackay-Steven, prompting the former Celtic man’s withdrawal after only 37 minutes at Fir Park, before assisting for Louis Moult – a reported Rangers target already – to score his side’s third of the night.

Here’s how Rangers fans reacted to the 20-year-old’s display (and yes, some of them still want Moult too)…
Rangers were in the market for another wide player during the summer transfer window, having failed with multiple bids for Hearts’ Jamie Walker.
But unlike Walker – and Moult, in fact – Cadden is under contract with his current employers for another season after this one, and would likely cost a substantial fee to prise away from Fir Park in January.
Rangers fans – do you want Cadden at Ibrox?
