Motherwell striker Louis Moult is 3/1 to move to Rangers this summer – and he could be the prolific goalscorer Pedro Caixinha is crying out for.
Rangers fans may be about to get their wish with speculation intensifying that the evergreen Kenny Miller will be handed a new contract at Ibrox. Yet, with the 37-year-old the only player to hit double figures this season, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that he needs some support in attack.
Therefore, BetVictor making Rangers 3/1 favourites to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult will go down well with supporters. The former Stoke City youngster has 16 goals in 29 games in all competitions this season, while only Ross County’s Liam Boyce and Celtic pair Scott Sinclair and Moussa Dembele have scored more in the Scottish Premiership.
Blessed with impressive hold-up play and an instinctive poacher’s finish, the 6ft striker would appear to be an excellent addition to a Rangers side who have scored 15 fewer goals than second placed Aberdeen this season.
And manager Pedro Caixinha is already all-too familiar with his qualities. In the 1-1 home draw with Motherwell last month, Moult reacted with typical speed to jab home a loose ball from a corner just three minutes in at Ibrox.
Therefore, it’s fair to say the 24-year-old swapping Motherwell tan for Rangers’ royal blue would be a hit with Gers fans. After all, they have clamoured for the club to sign the one-in-two man for some time.
