Rangers midfielder Rossiter has failed to feature for the Gers’ senior team since August.
Rangers will be looking to put Sunday’s dismal loss behind them under the watchful eye of new manager Steven Gerrard as they play host to Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Saturday – and fans want midfielder Jordan Rossiter to start.
The 21-year-old midfielder has suffered a string of long-term injuries that has kept the former Liverpool midfielder on the sidelines for the majority of his Rangers career, since moving to Ibrox in the summer of 2016.
His last appearance for Rangers cam against Ross County in a 3-1 win back in August, coming off the bench to feature for nine minutes under Pedro Caixinha.
However, Rossiter returned to the Rangers side as an unused substitute during Sunday’s 5-0 defeat to Celtic and is now fit for selection ahead of Saturday’s clash against Kilmarnock at Ibrox.
The Gers need to get back on track with just three games remaining and are likely to need three wins if they want to qualify for Europe in second place.
With Gerrard expected to be watching from the stands, Rangers fans have called on caretaker management duo Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson to select Rossiter in the middle of the park.
One fan described Rossiter as a “very wise player”.
