Rangers boss Graeme Murty could field a completely new side against Aberdeen at Ibrox.

Head coach Graeme Murty of Scottish club Rangers FC calls a play during the second half of their game against Brazilian club Corinthians during their Florida Cup soccer game at Orlando...

Rangers manager Graeme Murty will have plenty of selection dilemmas on his mind after completing deals for four new signings this month at Ibrox – but Light Blues fans have looked to help by urging him to start Jason Cummings.

The 22-year-old is one of four new faces at Ibrox this month, joining from Championship side Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season after a frustrating spell down south. He could start against Aberdeen on Wednesday night.

He managed just four goals all season with game time few and far between, but he will be looking to prove new Forest manager Aitor Karanka that he was wrong to let him return to Scotland.

The one-time international joins Russell Martin, Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss in putting pen to paper on loan moves to Ibrox, while Andy Halliday and Michael O’Halloran have returned to Rangers following Murty’s decision to cancel their loans.

Rangers fans are desperate to see Murty start former Hibernian striker Cummings against Derek McInnes’ side, but they want to see him partner current top scorer Alfredo Morelos.

One fan even Tweeted: “desperate for Cummings to get of to a flyer”.
