Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers will have to do without Jamie Murphy for the rest of the season, but could Glenn Middleton be the answer?

Some Rangers fans on Twitter want manager Steven Gerrard to utilise Glenn Middleton following the news about Jamie Murphy.
Rangers were rocked by the disappointment of Murphy being ruled out for the entire season after suffering knee ligament damage in the win over Kilmarnock last weekend.
With the transfer window still open, Gerrard could still sign a replacement for the Scottish winger.
Middleton is a regular on the Gers’ bench but the 18-year-old has only played 26 minutes of first-team football this season, which came in two cameo appearances against Shkupi in the first round of Europa League qualifying.
He joined Rangers from Norwich City back in January and has since emerged as a very promising young player – and one who some fans of the Ibrox club want to see get more chances to impress in Murphy’s absence.
Gerrard was coy on Wednesday when asked if he would sign a replacement for Murphy, stating ‘We’ll see’.
In truth, it makes total sense for Rangers to hedge their bets and bring in a more experienced winger to compete with Middleton.
The Blues could take a big step toward the Europa League proper by beating FC Ufa in tonight’s first leg at Ibrox, meaning that Gerrard will need a quality squad to cope with the rigours of playing twice a week, but time will tell whether the 38-year-old takes a huge leap of faith with Middleton.
