Should Rangers start Andy Halliday against Celtic?

Could Rangers midfielder Andy Halliday play a surprise role against Celtic at the weekend?
Halliday came off the bench for Rangers at the weekend in their 4-0 win over Dundee and played a starring role.
He has now elevated himself into contention to feature against Celtic in the semi-final at Hampden Park.
Halliday has experience of this, starring in Rangers’ previous cup semi-final win over Celtic in 2016.

As time has gone on, Halliday’s role in the win has become a little exaggerated, but it remains a game the 26-year-old ca be proud of.
Rangers have failed to beat Celtic so far this season and haven’t won against their rivals since that penalty shootout victory.
Scott Brown has reigned supreme since then and Rangers fans are coming around to the idea of Halliday getting another chance.

Having a Glasgow born player represent Rangers in midfield against Celtic in the semi-final is an ideal scenario, but manager Graeme Murty must weigh up whether the alternatives give his side a better chance.
Early in the season Halliday was sent on loan to Azerbaijan. That proved a waste of time, and if he can lead Rangers to victory over Celtic it will cap a remarkable turnaround.
Rangers fans are coming around to the idea of Halliday starting, and want him to shut down Scott Brown.
