The Glasgow Rangers ace could not continue for Steven Gerrard and co, and some of the Ibrox Bears made their feelings known.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to bemoan on the update that Ryan Jack has had to come off in the Ibrox side’s Europa League meeting with Young Boys.

On the hour mark, the 27-year-old limped off the Stade de Suisse pitch after taking a boot to the leg to receive treatment, but he could not continue and was subbed off, with Greg Stewart taking his place.

A worrying update given Jack’s quality and importance to the Rangers team, quite a few Bears took to social media to express their worries:

Rangers were level with Young Boys at the time of Jack’s departure from the game, with Alfredo Morelos having given Steven Gerrard and co the lead on 43 minutes, holding off centre-half Cedric Zesiger and firing past goalkeeper David von Ballmoos following Borna Barisic’s fine pass.

The Light Blues began the second half slowly and were punished in the 50th minute when Ulisses Garcia’s delivery across the face of goal was not dealt with by Filip Hellander and Roger Assale connected with the ball to find the back of the net.

Unfortunately, Rangers fell to a heartbreaking defeat in stoppage time after Christian Fassnacht snatched a late winner for Young Boys.
