The Glasgow Rangers ace’s injury during the last international break saw Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard criticise Scotland’s Steve Clarke.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that Ibrox ace Ryan Jack has been called up to the Scotland squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.
The 27-year-old Rangers midfielder is once again part of Steve Clarke’s contingent as the national squad prepares to visit Russia on 10 October and host San Marino three days later.
During the last international break, there was a disagreement between Steven Gerrard and Clarke, the Gers boss accusing the national coaching team of being “careless” with Jack, who aggravated a knee problem last month (BBC Sport).
Gerrard felt the midfielder had been overworked after undergoing a double training session just two days after the Old Firm derby defeat and he subsequently missed the qualifiers against Russia and Belgium, plus one Rangers game.
While the Rangers Twitter channel described the £1.4million-valued (Transfermarkt) player’s addition as a “well deserved call-up”, some Bears made their feelings clear about the matter, as can be read below:
Scotland’s chances of qualification to the finals through Group I have gone, though they can still make the tournament proper via next year’s playoffs after winning their Nations League group last year.
