Glasgow Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has given Goldson plenty of game time for the Ibrox side but some Bears aren’t so convinced.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ibrox defender Connor Goldson’s display for Steven Gerrard’s side in their 1-0 win at Livingston in the League Cup.
The 26-year-old had a difficult day at the office as he and Rangers teammate Filip Helander struggled to deal with opposition attacker Lyndon Dykes, plus getting a needless booking for pulling back Bartley as he launched a counter-attack.
Admittedly, Goldson was on the receiving end of a crunching challenge when Dykes caught him as he cleared the ball, for which he received a booking, but nonetheless some Bears are concerned that, unless he improves quickly, the Gers will get punished at the back.
Here is some of the Rangers fans’ reaction on social media, mid-game and post-match, to the defender’s showing on the night:
Goldson, a £3million signing for Rangers in 2018 (fee reported by Sky Sports), is rated highly by Gerrard, has got a lot of game time under him, and his centre-back partnership with Helander has seen them keep three clean sheets in a row, but nonetheless the concern from sections of the Light Blues fanbase remain concerned.
