Glasgow Rangers had the Liverpool ace on loan at Ibrox last season and he impressed Steven Gerrard and the Bears.

A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the latest development involving Ibrox loan favourite Ryan Kent, as reported by The Scotsman.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard was eager to bring the Liverpool winger back to Ibrox after he impressed for the Light Blues last season, so much so that he went on to be named the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year.
Plenty of Bears also hoped that Kent would return to Ibrox but Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp stated that the 22-year-old would not be available for loan again this season (BBC Sport).
With the Anfield club’s asking price for the attacker reportedly reaching up to £12million (Goal.com), it did not bode well for Rangers, and Gerrard has now admitted that the Scottish Premiership club is to move on.
“I haven’t asked that question [to the board] but I think the answer would probably be yes,” Gerrard is quoted by The Scotsman as saying after being asked about Kent.
“Jurgen has come out and given the answer that will come out of my mouth anyway. It has been addressed and we move on. The end of it? Where we are right now, yes. We respect Liverpool’s stance and we thank them very much for allowing us to work with Ryan for a year.”
Perhaps not the most unexpected update given the developments over the previous few days but nonetheless a disappointing blow for Rangers and the Bears alike.
Here is what some Gers fans said on social media about the saga seemingly coming to an end:
