Well, Scott Brown’s last Old Firm derby for Celtic against Rangers didn’t exactly go to plan at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
Steven Gerrard’s Rangers romped to a 4-1 win over Celtic in what was Brown’s final time facing the Ibrox outfit in a Hoops shirt.
In fairness, the Bhoys were always up against it, by virtue of the fact that the Gers were 20 points ahead in the Premiership before kickoff.
But the fact that Callum McGregor was sent off on 26 minutes did the visitors no favours at all.
As for Brown, well the tone was set for him shortly after the half-hour mark when arch nemesis Alfredo Morelos nutmegged him en route to thumping past Scott Bain inside Celtic’s box.
The last thing the 35-year-old wanted on Sunday was to lose, but not far behind that in the list of things Brown didn’t want to happen would’ve been being megged by the Rangers striker just before seeing him score, given the animosity between the two.
