The young Rangers striker struck three times to avenge, in part, the defeat of Graeme Murty’s side at Ibrox on Sunday.

Rangers’ week may have began with a defeat to their arch rivals, but the Ibrox side’s Under-17s went some way to making up for that against the same opposition on Wednesday.
Scotland’s big two met at Rangers’ Auchenhowie training ground for a Glasgow Cup tie which the hosts won 4-2, courtesy of a hat-trick from striker Josh McPake.
The 16-year-old, who was joined on the scoresheet by Kai Kennedy, posted the following message on Twitter afterwards.
It read: “Good 4-2 win from the boys tonight against Celtic , good to get 3 goals”.
And Rangers fans have been congratulating McPake, who signed his first professional contract at Ibrox last year, in numbers. Here are some of their replies…
Elsewhere on Rangers Twitter, Gers fans have been sharing which controversial signings they would like to see at Ibrox next season.
And – despite their strong Celtic connections – it is a pair of Hibernian players who came out on top.

As well as the aforementioned duo – John McGinn and Dylan McGeouch – former Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni; Celtic players past and present, Scott Allan, Gary Hooper, Jason Denayer, Anthony Stokes, James Forrest and Scott Bain; Bhoys fan James McClean; Aston Villa’s John Terry, Nice’s Mario Balotelli and suspended Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher were all suggested.
