The Dutchman was a hero at Ibrox, and Rangers fans want him back in Glasgow as manager.

Rangers may have fallen from grace in recent years, but their history still includes a long list of top players from their heady days.
One such player is Dutchman Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The midfielder, who later turned into a left-back with Barcelona, was snapped up by Rangers from his hometown club Feyenoord in 1998.
He went on to score 22 goals in 117 games at Ibrox, winning the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Cup twice and the League Cup once during his time at the club.
He of course became a huge hit in Europe, winning the Champions League with Barcelona and includes a World Cup final as one of his 107 caps for the Netherlands.
Rangers fans will have fond memories of Van Bronckhorst at Ibrox, especially his ability to score the odd goal from long range. He had a monster of a left-foot on him and he highlighted that with this post on twitter yesterday, a throwback to when he smashed one home for Rangers v Dundee:
In response, Rangers fans had one resounding message for the Dutchman. Come back.
The Glasgow club are currently managed by Graeme Murty, but that is on a contract until the end of the summer. If they decide a new face is needed at Ibrox, then Van Bronckhorst will be a popular choice.
He has done a great job at Feyenoord, winning the Eredivisie title last season, and Rangers fans would clearly like to see him back at Ibrox – even if it is a fanciful idea…
