Rangers summer signing Allan McGregor has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Ibrox this season, but manager Steven Gerrard decided to rest him against Kilmarnock at this weekend.
Wes Foderingham started instead of McGregor between the posts for Rangers in the second round of the Scottish League Cup tie against Kilmarnock on Sunday afternoon.
The 27-year-old goalkeeper was the number one for the Ibrox club for the past two seasons, and the former Swindon Town man showed why during the game against Kilmarnock.
Foderingham was superb for Rangers in their 3-1 win and made a number of saves, including two from Chris Burke.
The former England Under-19 international has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for the Gers, with Rangers fans responding to the goalkeeper’s message on the social networking site.
Rangers goalkeeper McGregor and right-back James Tavernier have also taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Ibrox club against Kilmarnock.

Meanwhile, former Rangers defender Clint Hill has praised on Twitter the work done by manager Gerrard so far this season.
