Rangers fans respond to Ryan Hardie’s tweet after latest goal

Glasgow Rangers fans want to see Ryan Hardie given another contract at Ibrox after he scored another stunning goal.

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their hope that Ryan Hardie is given a new deal and another chance in the first-team upon his return to Ibrox after he scored another superb goal out on loan.

Hardie went into this year desperately needing something with transfermarkt showing that his contract with the Gers expires at the end of the campaign. And it appears that his time with Livingston has allowed him to stake a massive claim to earn fresh terms.

The 21-year-old has scored eight goals in 15 games in all competition for David Hopkin’s men, and his latest demonstrated why he has long been considered one of the brightest talents coming through the Rangers ranks.

Livi were 2-0 up against Brechin in the final minutes when Hardie received the ball outside the box. After turning, he launched a brilliant effort into the top corner to round off the stunning win and ensure that the side will finish second heading into the Championship play-offs.

Unsurprisingly, Hardie took to social media to comment on the facts that Livingston have secured second spot in the league and that he helped them by bagging yet another goal. He also responded to a tweet which included a video of his brilliant goal – though words were not required…

Several Rangers fans responded to his two tweets by insisting that his parent club would be making a huge mistake allowing his contract to expire at the end of the season as he is currently proving to be a brilliant goalscorer.

It is clear that a number of supporters believe that he is ready to push for a first-team chance at Ibrox when he returns at the end of the season. And it is becoming increasingly difficult to argue that he does not deserve an opportunity next term.
