The boyhood Rangers fan spent the final year of his career playing under Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.

Rangers fans are reacting on Twitter after the former Ibrox defender Gareth McAuley announced his retirement from playing on Monday morning.
McAuley spent the final year of his career as a Rangers player – a ‘very special moment’, which ‘meant the world’ to him, having supported the Gers as a boy, he wrote in a tweet.
For the previous seven, he was a Premier League regular with West Bromwich Albion – despite having had to wait until the age of 31 to make his debut at that level.
And some Rangers supporters wish that their side had got their hands on McAuley earlier than they did.
This is what they are saying on Twitter…
McAuley played 10 times for Rangers in total, appearing for the final time against Cowdenbeath in the Scottish FA Cup fourth round.
The soon-to-be 40-year-old also represented Coleraine, Lincoln City, Leicester City, Ipswich Town, West Brom and Rangers.
