David Bates is leaving Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers for Hamburg this summer.

Rangers fans have responded to David Bates’s parting message on social networking site Twitter, with many expressing their disappointment that the central defender is leaving Ibrox.
Bates is leaving Scottish Premiership rival Rangers and will join German club Hamburg on a free transfer this summer.
The 21-year-old central defender initially joined Rangers on loan from Raith Rovers in the summer of 2016 until January 2017 before it was made permanent.
Bates has taken to Twitter to send a parting message to Rangers and the Ibrox faithful, with many Gers’ fans responding to his tweet.
Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty, 21, has also sent a message to Bates on Twitter.

Bates did relatively well during his time at Rangers, who will have to find a suitable replacement for the 21-year-old.
With Hamburg having been relegated to the second tier of German football, the 21-year-old will be hoping to get them back to the Bundesliga.
As for Rangers, with Steven Gerrard being appointed the new manager, the Gers will be hoping to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title next season.
