Glasgow Rangers fans hope to see Liam Kelly back at Ibrox in the future after his latest superb display.

A number of Rangers fans have responded to Liam Kelly’s tweet after the former Gers goalkeeper produced an outstanding display at the weekend to deny the Scottish Premiership leaders the chance to move a good deal closer to wrapping up the title – and it is clear that many of the Ibrox faithful want the stopper back in the future.
Kelly’s Livingston side denied Celtic at Parkhead. The two teams played out a 0-0 draw, but the visitors certainly had Kelly to thank for earning them a point as he produced some superb saves.
The 23-year-old denied the likes of Odsonne Edouard, James Forrest and Tom Rogic. The stop to deny Forrest’s first-half effort from the edge of the area, in particular, was remarkable as the winger looked to find the bottom corner with the outside of his boot.
And after Kelly took to Twitter to comment on the result and the fact that he had kept his 17th clean sheet of the campaign, he received a number of responses from Gers fans.

Kelly spent well over a decade on Rangers’ books before leaving in 2018. And some Light Blues supporters believe that he is the perfect successor for Allan McGregor when the veteran decides to hang up his gloves in the future.
Steven Gerrard has a very good group of goalkeepers in his ranks right now, but it is clear that many believe that Kelly is the kind of player that Rangers should be targeting as he would be the best replacement for McGregor.

Here is Kelly’s tweet as well as some of the responses…
