Could Rangers move for Slaven Bilic as replacement for Pedro Caixinha?

New West Ham manager Slaven Bilic looks on during the UEFA Europa League match between West Ham United and FC Lusitans at Boleyn Ground on July 2, 2015 in London, England.

Sacking season is in full swing with West Ham boss Slaven Bilic becoming the latest to lose his job.

The Croatian lasted just over two years with the Hammers, and his next move remains unclear.

One set of fans who are keen on him taking over are Glasgow Rangers supporters, with the club still seeking a replacement for sacked boss Pedro Caixinha.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is seen prior to the Betfred League Cup Quarter Final at Firhill Stadium on September 19, 2017 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Under-20s boss Graeme Murty has been filling in as caretaker manager at Ibrox over the last fortnight and a permanent solution is still being sought.

Current Rangers candidates Steve McClaren and Derek McInnes have prompted a mixed reaction, and Bilic is arguably superior to both.

Slaven Bilic applauds his fans at the end of the Premier League match between Burnley and West Ham United at Turf Moor on May 21, 2017 in Burnley, England.

Bilic once declared in 2010 he would walk to Glasgow to manage either Old Firm club should the opportunity become available, the Daily Record reported.

Now if he is ready to go straight back into management, a potential dream role is waiting if the Rangers board are brave enough to sound him out.

Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to Bilic becoming available…
