Fans of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are praising Steven Naismith for what he did against Scottish Premiership winners Celtic today.

Steven Naismith remains an unpopular figure among the Rangers faithful, but fans of the Ibrox club are still loving what he did to Celtic captain Scott Brown.
The former Rangers ace has received criticism from Brendan Rodgers and Chris Sutton for stamping on the Celtic midfielder in an off-the-ball incident during Hearts’ 3-1 defeat by the Hoops at Tynecastle today.
Naismith left the Gers on a free contract in 2012 after refusing to be part of Charles Green’s project in Glasgow following the club’s financial meltdown.
As a result, many Rangers fans have never quite forgiven him for that decision, though some supporters on Twitter are delighted with what he did to their long-standing nemesis.

Brown, who led Celtic to a seventh successive Premiership title by beating the Gers last weekend, is obviously a hugely unpopular figure on the blue side of the Old Firm divide and therefore the fans’ praise of Naismith is hardly surprising.
However, Brown’s pain is of little consolation to Rangers this season.
Brendan Rodgers’s side could win back-to-back domestic trebles by beating Motherwell in a Scottish Cup final on Saturday week. That has never been achieved in Scottish football and it would surely hurt the Blues.
