Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to new Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard’s recent comments about Lee Wallace.

Liverpool legend Gerrard has told BBC Sport that he wants Wallace in his Rangers team for the 2018-19 campaign.

As reported by BBC Sport, the 30-year-old left-back was suspended and fined after a dressing-room dispute with then Rangers manager Graeme Murty, with the defender having since challenged the decision of the Gers.

Former Liverpool and England international midfielder Gerrard has told BBC Sport that his focus is on getting Wallace – who has been on the books of Rangers since the summer of 2011 when he joined from Heart of Midlothian for a transfer fee reported by The Scotsman to be worth £1.5 million – fit and ready for the season ahead.
