Rangers have signed midfielder… on loan.

Glasgow Rangers have completed the signing of midfield star Steven Davis.
Davis underwent a medical with the Gers before the club confirmed the transfer last night. The deal had previously been expected to be a permanent transfer.
Davis is out of contract at the end of the season and Rangers can sign him on a free transfer then.
A try before you buy might then make sense for Rangers.
However was an inference in The Daily Record‘s report that Davis is keeping his options open.

This raises the possibility that he could star for Rangers for the next few months and then sign a permanent deal elsewhere.
This obviously has some fans feeling a little uncomfortable.
Manager Steven Gerrard clearly is confident the Northern Ireland international is worth taking a gamble on.
