Rangers turned in a disappointing display on Sunday afternoon, drawing 1-1 at Hamilton Academical.

The Gers were flat and uninspired for much of the game, but did take the lead in the second half as Brian Easton put through his own goal.

Rangers only had to hang on for 10 minutes but couldn’t do it, with Ross Callachan bagging a last-gasp leveller for the hosts.

Steven Gerrard’s men still sit 21 points clear at the top of the table, but this was a very lacklustre performance from Rangers.

Gerrard did though give a debut to Scott Wright, as the winger came on for Ianis Hagi with 12 minutes to play.

Wright completed a deadline day move from Aberdeen having already signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers in January, and offers Gerrard another threat out wide.

Rangers fans took to Twitter to suggest that Wright looked ‘tidy’ and ‘very positive’, believing he made a great start to his Gers career.

Some hope to see him start in place of Ryan Kent soon, suggesting that he was ‘class’ in his brief cmaeo.
