Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are linked with the former Manchester United youth.

The Daily Mail reported last week that Rangers are in the running to sign former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe.

The 24-year-old is a free agent following his release by Championship side Fulham this summer.

If he joins Rangers, he would represent yet another midfield option for manager Pedro Caixinha, who has already signed Ryan Jack, Graham Dorrans and Carlos Pena.

The Gers are still short on other areas and some fans would prefer to see such issues addressed rather than bringing in another midfielder, though others are happy with the speculation.

Rangers renewed optimism on the terraces this past weekend by drawing 1-1 with French giants Marseille at Ibrox.

Of course, it was only a friendly, but it was an encouraging result for a team who were eliminated from the Europa League by Progres of Luxembourg this month.

Caixinha has brought nine players to Ibrox this summer, though it remains to be seen if Tunnicliffe – who joined Fulham from United for £1.2 million in 2014, according to The Mail – will be lucky number 10.
