Rangers battled admirably with 10 men this afternoon, but ultimately lost 2-1 away at Old Firm rivals Celtic.

The Gers were hoping to delay Celtic title celebrations, as a defeat would send the Bhoys 13 points clear at the top of the table – and that’s just what happened.

Odsonne Edouard broke clear to score the opener for Celtic, before Alfredo Morelos picked up his fifth red card of the season, elbowing Scott Brown for an early bath.

Even with 10 men though, Rangers were strong and got themselves back on level terms, with Ryan Kent bursting into the box to score a fine goal.

Rangers had a golden chance to go in front through Ryan Jack, but he couldn’t take it – and were made to pay as James Forrest capitalised on a James Tavernier mistake to score.

Celtic held out for the win, and are now set to clinch another league title to leave Rangers fans deflated after a battling display at Parkhead.

A number of Rangers players were criticised after the draw, and Jack was one of them, not only for his missed chance but for his general performance too.

Some called Jack ‘anonymous’ and ‘rotten’, wondering just what he offers to Steven Gerrard’s team, adding that he was having a ‘shocker’ against the Bhoys today.
