Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Gers-owned striker Ryan Hardie for Livingston.

Hardie returned to Livingston on loan from Ibrox club Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The Scotland Under-21 international striker – who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Tony Macaroni Arena – has been superb so far this campaign, although injuries have affected his progress.

The 21-year-old striker scored twice in Livingston’s 5-0 win against Heart of Midlothian at home in the Scottish Premiership on Friday evening.

The win against Hearts has enhanced Gary Holt’s side’s chances of finishing in the top three of the Scottish Premiership this season. As for Rangers, the Gers are challenging for the league title.

Hardie has scored three goals in four Scottish Premiership appearances for Livingston so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.

Rangers fans were impressed with the performance of Hardie, and some Ibrox fans on Twitter have urged Gers manager Steven Gerrard to give him a chance.
