Rangers are reportedly keen to bring Steven Davis back to Ibrox.

Rangers brought in 15 summer signings to boost Steven Gerrard’s squad, and it’s fair to say that the results have been fantastic so far.
The Gers completely revamped their squad to aid Gerrard’s cause, and there is strong competition for places across the pitch.
Gerrard won’t need too many additions in January, but he is being linked with a new signing ahead of the next transfer window.
The back page of today’s Scottish Daily Express reported that Gerrard is lining up a move to bring Southampton midfielder Steven Davis back to Ibrox, almost seven years since his exit.
Davis, 33, joined Rangers from Fulham back in 2008, and spent four years with the club, racking up 22 goals in 210 appearances before leaving when he refused to transfer his contract to the ‘new’ Rangers in 2012.
A move to Southampton followed, and he has been on the South Coast ever since, serving as captain whilst also making more than 200 appearances for the Saints in an underrated role.

Now, the Northern Ireland international could be heading back to Rangers, and some fans took to Twitter to suggest that he would be an ideal signing, praising him as ‘brilliant’ whilst feeling he can bring the quality Rangers need.
Others are so keen to bring Davis back that they don’t want to get their hopes up, whilst some think he is too old, and would be a signing that Rangers ultimately don’t need given their options in midfield.
