Rangers have made a busy start to the summer transfer window, and they continue to be linked with a host of potential signings.

The Gers are facing a big season, as they hope to stop Celtic from winning a tenth league in a row. Steven Gerrard will want to strengthen his squad as a result, whilst there is also the Alfredo Morelos situation to resolve.

Morelos could be a wanted man this summer, meaning Rangers would be wise to look at other strikers – and The Scottish Sun claim that Kemar Roofe is a top target.

Rangers wanted to sign Roofe from Leeds United last summer, but lose out as he made a shock move to Belgium with Anderlecht, where injuries have hit him.

The 27-year-old has still managed seven goals and three assists in 16 games for Anderlecht, after smashing 15 goals and two assists for Leeds last term.

Roofe cost £7million a year ago, and Walfoot claim that Rangers have failed with a move to take Roofe on loan with the option of a €6million (£5.5million) purchase deal.

Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumours, with some really hoping that Roofe signs, because he is better than the likes of Florian Kamberi and Lyndon Dykes.

Others are worried about his injuries and think he should be a complement to Morelos rather than this replacement, but the general feeling is one of optimism about Roofe arriving.
