Rangers may be in the market for a new striker this summer – and Steven Gerrard could look to Liverpool for another favour.
The Gers have signed Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo on loan from Liverpool under Gerrard, whilst Ryan Kent turned his loan permanent last summer.
Now, The Scottish Sun claim that Rangers want to bring in another Liverpool talent. This time, it’s striker Rhian Brewster on their radar.
Brewster is currently on loan at Swansea City, where he has scored four goals in 11 games. The Swans want him back again next season, but Rangers are seemingly in the race.
Gerrard’s relationship with Liverpool could help here, and a striker may be a top priority at Ibrox – potentially giving Brewster game time.
Alfredo Morelos could yet leave, whilst Florian Kamberi’s loan move is unlikely to be made permanent. Gerrard may therefore go for Brewster in an attempt to reunite with the youngster.

Rangers fans seem a little split on the issue. Some think that Brewster would be an ‘excellent’ signing and has real promise, and could be a real asset as long as he isn’t signed to replace Morelos.
Others don’t want any more Liverpool loanees, citing Ejaria and Ojo as reasons why Gerrard shouldn’t look to his former club for help again.
