Rangers fans are reacting to reports that Umar Sadiq has left Ibrox.

According to the Sun, the Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, has given the green light to terminate Sadiq‘s loan spell – three weeks before the transfer window opens.

The newspaper claims Gerrard has lost patience with with the striker he brought to Ibrox from AS Roma in July, and has allowed him to return to Italy early.

Sadiq has played just 116 minutes of first-team football for Rangers, and has often been omitted from matchday squads even with fellow frontmen, Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos, unavailable.

But what do those of a Gers persuasion make of the speculation?

This is what they’re saying on Twitter…

But not all Rangers fans feel the same way (although the following is very much a minority view)…

The termination of Sadiq’s season-long deal – which cannot officially take place outside of a transfer window – will pave the way for Rangers to bid to sign the Liverpool striker, Dominic Solanke, on loan, according to the Sun.
