The Daily Record claims McDonald’s is one of the names on Rangers’ list of Steven Davis alternatives – adding that Fulham have made clear “they will not be difficult to deal with if McDonald wishes to leave the club” in January, after the Scotland international fell out of favour under Claudio Ranieri.

And Davis is strongly tipped to fill the void left by the Liverpool youngster, despite his rumoured £65,000-a-week wages.
Davis is in the final year of his contract at St Mary’s, whereas McDonald’s still has 18 months left to run.
