Mark Warburton brought the American on for Rangers in their 2-1 win at Ibrox.

Rangers are through to the next round of the Scottish Cup after a 2-1 win against Motherwell at Ibrox this afternoon.

It looked as though Motherwell were going to win the game after Louis Moult scored in the 74th minute. However, ever-the-hero Kenny Miller turned up late to save the day.

His winning goal however came off and assist from a player making his debut for the Ibrox club.

Emerson Hyndman was recently signed on loan until the end of the season, joining from Bournemouth after struggling to break into the first-team at Dean Court.

Rangers fans are no doubt hoping he can act as a replacement for either Joey Barton or Niko Kranjcar – with one now out of the club and the other absent with a long-term knee injury.

Mark Warburton did not start the American but threw him into proceedings in the second-half and he had a big impact.

He played some excellent passes and showed some good touches after coming into the game and his beautiful first time pass set up Miller for the winning goal.

Here is how Rangers fans reacted to his performance on Twitter…
