Rangers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Swansea City-owned Barnsley striker Oliver McBurnie for Scotland against Costa Rica.
McBurnie, who was wanted by Rangers before he moved from Swansea to Barnsley on loan in the January transfer window according to The Scottish Sun, made his debut for Scotland in the friendly international against Costa Rica at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old striker started the game and played for 77 minutes, as the home team lost 1-0.
Rangers fans were impressed with the performance of McBurnie – who earns £260,000 per year as salary according to Spotrac.com, and want the Gers to sign the youngster in the summer transfer window.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Friday evening, hosts Scotland had 51% of the possession, took 11 shots of which three were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers are second in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 58 points from 31 matches.
